The objective of the association is to promote the attractiveness of Switzerland as a location for blockchain-based activities and encourage the development of a secure and competitive legal framework. The Swiss Blockchain Federation is a public–private partnership, combining agents from the blockchain sector, the fields of politics and economics, the scientific community and the public sphere. 

Its rich heritage of financial security, strong privacy laws and a pragmatic regulatory approach made Switzerland a vibrant hub for new business ideas in the field of distributed ledger technology (DLT) such as blockchain. 

Switzerland is one of the leading locations in the area of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and blockchain. Especially in the financial sector, a growing fintech and blockchain ecosystem has developed in Switzerland. For Switzerland as a business location, it is crucial for the legal framework to enable innovation and for new technologies to be able to thrive. At the same time, Switzerland's integrity and good reputation as a business location must continue to be guaranteed in this area too.

Crypto Valley reaffirms its standing as the most mature global blockchain hub with a record 2021 valuation of its Top 50 companies at over half a trillion USD ($611.8bn), boasting fourteen Unicorns. 

Back in 2013, the crypto-finance startup Monetas and Ethereum moved their headquarters to Zug in the Greater Zurich Area, establishing a vision of a global hub for blockchain technologies and attracting stakeholders from all over the world. Soon Crypto Valley was on everyone’s lips. Since then over 300 companies such as ShapeShift, Bitmain, Lisk, Consensys, Xapo or Bancor followed and blockchain incubators, regulatory bodies, tech-savvy authorities, university chairs, events started to form an unparalleled ecosystem of innovation, pragmatism and mutual trust. Today people can register their ID on the cantonal blockchains, pay fees and form companies with digital assets. And this is just the beginning since the National Minister of Economy declared Switzerland will become "Crypto Nation" the ground for more is paved. 

The Swiss Blockchain Institute is the result of an alliance from uniting major actors from the worlds of Blockchain and Training Industry. The Blockchain will have a major impact on all parts of the economy over the next ten years as it profoundly change the relationship between stakeholders. Our goal at the Swiss Blockchain Institute is to run in-depth technical Blockchain training programs in these new development and implementation technologies. We operate from our own premises in Geneva at 111, Rue de Lyon. As a Swiss company, what sets us apart is that our blockchain trainings deliver high added value, based primarily on the quality of our instructors with their combination of technical expertise and adult-education skills. 

The Crypto Valley Conference is organised in conjunction between the Lucerne University and the Crypto Valley Association - an independent, government-supported association building the world’s leading blockchain and cryptographic technology ecosystem. 

UZH Blockchain Center started its activities in 2017, and was formally established as a Competence Center in 2019. Since then, it has organised a wide range of academic, educational, and industry-related activities. It thus became the largest and most active academic cluster in Switzerland, a World-wide blockchain hub. 

Founded in late 2013 the Bitcoin Association Switzerland is the oldest Fintech association in Switzerland and one of the oldest still active Bitcoin Associations in the world.

We form an active community of enthusiasts who organize events, resolve open legal questions, and educate the public by providing a contact point for media inquiries.
